Sanctuary at last. « Thread Started on Dec 12, 2008, 4:10pm »
Moonlight diffusely shimmered through the window and silence painfully echoed through the empty halls. Tonight was uneventful. The moon was in its first phase, the wolves were probably at their weakest and hiding in the taverns amongst the humans, weary of slayers and vampires alike who would possibly prey upon them.
On a night like this, neither of the two feuding sides wished to make the first move lest it start a full scale war come the next full or new moon.
A heavy sigh came from the slayer's lips as he tilted his head back against a soft, though tattered cushion of an armchair. He and his brother, so different yet so similar. Each was given a name that suited him. His name was "Sanctuary", the dictionary definition was, "A sacred or holy place one takes refuge." This was the name that was chosen for him. The name which suited him the most.
His brother however was "Armageddon". The dictionary definition was, "A decisive but catastrophic battle". This name too suited his brother, his elder brother who, much more than sanctuary himself, wished for the complete and utter annihilation of the abominations which stalk humanity at night.
Yet, this was not what Sanctuary wanted, he craved a balance between the species. One that was true peace rather than this false peace that had both sides heavily on edge and placed a great deal of discomfort on the slayers who had to prevent as many human casualties as possible during these pointless skirmishes.
"We must have peace, only painful sorrow will be achieved through such a violent path, dear brother of mine." The male whispered softly, his eyes glassed over and his mind pensive with all that had happened in the short time he had arrived in this place.
War of Darkness is an RP based on the ever popular battle between werewolves and vampires, and of course the humans that are caught in the middle. Once the guardians of vampires, the werewolves rebelled, the war carried on through ages and has now come to our doorstep. It is time to choose a side.
